I worked with Actually Merlin Vintage a vintage clothing shop in Southsea, to develop a brand character and promotional zine designed to advertise the shop while also acting as a memorable keepsake for customers.

The original brief focused on creating an animation, but after speaking with Merlin and learning more about the brand, I identified his love for 90s ephemera, stickers, and collectibles. These elements are central to the shop’s carefully curated aesthetic, which thrives on community, personality. Based on this research, I proposed that a printed zine would be a more authentic outcome for Merlin.

The final zine is an eight-page publication that unfolds into poster. It introduces Merlin and his brand through a scrapbook inspired, punk zine aesthetic. Showcasing the shop’s products alongside its extensive collection of stickers and visual ephemera. The publication was riso printed in Merlin’s signature pink.
