I’m Joel Allen, a soon to be graduate from the University of Portsmouth with a BA in Graphic Design. I have studied graphic design for the past five years, beginning at Chichester College before continuing my studies at university. Recently, I achieved four Adobe Certified Professional qualifications in InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Visual Design.

I specialise in print and typography. I am always exploring innovative ways to apply design through both physical and digital techniques. I enjoy creative problem-solving and finding engaging, effective ways to communicate ideas to an audience.

Outside of design, I’m constantly researching and learning about new topics that inspire me creatively. My other passions include film photography, collecting physical music media such as vinyl records and cassette tapes, attending concerts )particularly 80s electronic and synth bands) and spending time walking in nature. These interests strongly influence my work, shaping a design approach that champions creativity, tactility, and meaningful human connection through physical objects and experiences.
